Bli Bli State School Active Transport Planning Project - 2021
Planned improvements to Sunshine Coast primary school, improve access and amenity, and formalise a pre-existing route.
Side road crossing and path delivered by Fraser Coast Regional Council on the Principal Cycle Network. Crossing treatments embed Safe System principles, lowering vehicle speeds at the crossing.
This project considered low-cost interventions to improve safety of bicycle riders using Petrie Creek Rd on the Sunshine Coast.

Sidelines played a key role in the drafting and development of active transport technical guidelines published by the Department of Transport. Guidelines worked on include:
- Raised Priority Crossings for Pedestrian and Cycle Paths
- Providing for path users at driveways
- Fencing and edging treatments for cycle paths
Safe System Assessments were used to consider risk associated with alternative options for crossings on a cycling route in Pelican Waters.
Active Transport Infrastructure plans projects delivered by Sidelines Traffic for Sunshine Coast Council include: Burnside State School, Bli Bli State School, Sippy Downs Precinct, Talara Primary College and Caloundra State School.
Each project identifies a series of projects, with concept sketches to be considered in forward works programs.
Somerset Walking Network Plans
